At this time we are hiring for the following position:

Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, orientating, organizing and supervising evening kennel volunteers and weekend sitters. Strong communication and organization skills are required and dog handling skills will also be an asset. This is a part time position, the hours are Monday to Thursday 5-9 p.m and Friday 2-6. Service Dog Trainer

National Service Dogs (NSD) is a registered charity and ADI accredited service dog training school, providing certified service dogs to individuals with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, autism and other physical and mental challenges. NSD is currently hiring for a full time trainer in our Advanced Training program.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum one year professional dog training experience is preferred
  • Post-secondary education in animal care, communications, or other related field
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience working with children and individuals with unique needs is an asset
